		<description>Assalam aliekum,
The Rislah is by Abi Zayd al-Qayrawani not Aby Yazid. I think it is accurate to call him the "Father of American Islamic Literture" and I have done so in the work on his life and writings that I am presently doing. The first text in the canon is in English and was dictated by Job ben Solomon in 1730 and can also be called the first British Muslim text.

		<description>Assalam aliekum,
Thanks for the information. There is no mention of the half dozen or so attempts at translation by Dr. Joseph (Yusuf Progler), Dr. Ronald Judy, Muhammed al-Ahari (EDD candidate), and others. My translation is available through Sound Vision.
